Luzajo Village

Luphoko, Eastern Cape
Women had to gather water from streams at least twice a day, for at least an hour to get to their nearest water supply. Once this dries up, their walking period extends to 3 hours to get to the next water supply. But thanks to the hydropanels, clean water is now conveniently accessible to the members of the community.

90 Hydropanels were installed to serve treated water to 42 homes in Lujazo Village, freeing the community from the health risk of their previous untreated river based water supply.
